Millennials (people born between the mid-1980s to around 2000), play an important part of the UK workforce and as a generation that were introduced to technology, they have become natives at quite a young age.
This means that they have been able to establish work outside the typical norms of work life. This means manufacturers, including the corrugated packaging industry, are starting to wonder how to attract top millennial talent.
Life at Belmont Packaging is really fast-paced, and that reflects the kind of corrugated packaging industry. As a demanding industry, we’re always working with new exciting brands as well as the larger well-known businesses such as Taylors of Harrogate and New Balance.
With many different projects coming through the door every week, there’s never a boring day, with customers leaning on us for design and print of the corrugated packaging solutions.
We also understand the importance of being mindful of our carbon footprint. As a fast-paced growing company, it is important to always stick to our values of delivering fantastic corrugated packaging solutions for our clients in the most environmentally friendly way.
We have put many environmentally friendly initiatives in place, such as solar panels to generate our own electricity backed up by Tesla Powerwall batteries so that we rarely need to take power for the main electricity grid. This, alongside our geothermal ground in the car park, massively reduces our carbon footprint and do our bit for the overall health of the earth.

We have a total of 7 millennials working at Belmont and they truly add tremendous value to our workforce. It’s important that we continue to remain a forward thinking company so that we can continue to attract the industries top talent and prove that corrugated packaging provides an attractive career.
It’s no secret that there is a huge war on plastic, and we firmly believe this is only going put corrugated packaging in a stronger position, especially as consumers become more environmentally aware. It’s really about continuing to come up with innovative solutions on corrugated packaging, the industry is truly on the rise, and this is something everyone can get excited about, especially millennials thinking about a career in corrugated packaging.
