Frequently asked questions

How long will my quotation take?

Once we have received the full specification for your corrugated packaging requirements, quotations are typically returned within 2 working days, taking into consideration that we do not work on Fridays.

For more bespoke packaging projects involving custom structural design, specialist print finishes or tooling requirements, additional development time may be required to ensure we provide the most accurate and commercially effective solution.

What information do you need to be able to quote me?

We will be able to provide a quotation quickly if we have the following information:

If specifications are not yet finalised:

Our technical team can recommend the most suitable corrugated board grade, flute profile and structural design based on your product, logistics requirements and budget.

If you can send a picture of something of a similar style, this will also help speed things up, we have lots of images on our gallery of boxes that we have produced.

Can I use my own design?

Yes. We do prefer artwork to be supplied by the customer where possible. To ensure the best print quality, artwork should be provided as a high-resolution file such as PDF.

If you require support with artwork creation or adjustments, our team can also assist with artwork generation and packaging design services where needed.

What happens when I place my first order?

Before we process your first order, we will carry our the origination process. Here’s what to expect:

  1. We will send you a product sample so you can check the dimensions. We will ensure that it is the correct fluting, but it may not be the correct material as we use what is available at the time in our sample stock. All samples are provided for approval of size and style only.
  2. Once you’re happy with the sample, we will then generate any artwork requested. You will receive a PDF for approval.
  3. Colour swatches will be requested to match your required pantone. This will be sent directly from our ink suppliers for you to approve.

What types of corrugated cardboard types are available?

We offer corrugated packaging solutions in a wide range of flute sizes. The fluting varies from micro flute (which has a similar thickness to solid board) up to double wall BC flute (7mm thick).

As well as different flutes, we offer a number of different paper types providing different finishes. These are:

Please note - we do not print onto other materials.

Can you help with packaging design and technical development?

Yes. Our team regularly supports customers with structural packaging development, material selection, transit performance and print specification.

Whether you already have a completed specification or need guidance from concept stage, we can help develop a packaging solution suited to your product and supply chain.

Are your packaging solutions environmentally friendly?

The majority of board grades use recycled paper for fluting and we’re FSC Certified, meaning we can ensure that the materials used to produce your corrugated packaging box is sourced from a certified forest that is managed with consideration for people, wildlife and the environment.

What is your minimum order quantity?

Minimum order quantities vary depending on the packaging style, board grade, print requirements and manufacturing process involved.

As a general guide, standard production runs are usually 2,000+ boxes.

Do I have to pay for cutting formes or printing plates?

Die-cut packaging styles will require a cutting tool, which is charged as a one-off tooling cost on the initial order only.

If your packaging includes printed artwork, print plates will be required as part of the manufacturing process. Print plates are also a one-off cost charged on the first production run.

Delivery & Shipping

How is shipping calculated?

Delivery charges are included in the unit prices and the cost is based on the number of pallets required.

How long will it take to receive my boxes?

Lead times can vary depending on the packaging style, print requirements and manufacturing process involved, as different products are produced on different machines within our facility.

As a general guide, standard lead times are typically around 4 weeks from artwork approval and order confirmation. Our team will always advise the most accurate lead time based on your specific packaging requirements.

How will my boxes be packaged and sent to me?

We secure all of our products on standard 1200 x 1000 pallets and we will ensure they’re clearly labelled. If you have any special palletisation requirements then please let us know and we will accommodate if possible.

Can you split an order and ship to different destinations?

Yes, we would be more than happy to do this but we would need this information when quoting to ensure that both delivery drops are included in the pricing.

Can you combine multiple orders and ship them together?

We make a conscious effort to reduce our carbon footprint, so we do aim to combine deliveries and ship them together where possible.

How do freight deliveries work?

We currently use 3rd party haulers and they deliver between 9am – 5pm on weekdays. If you have any special requirements, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate.

Will I receive tracking information for my order?

We try to ensure that all deliveries are booked in with customers with 24 - 48 hours’ notice prior to delivery being made.
