Contact us Cake or Death is a vegan bakery based in East London which was created by Katie Cross in January 2019. The business supplies a range of vegan baked goods to cafes, arts venues and businesses within London.
Cake or Death wanted to offer brownies by post to customers as a delicious gift or the perfect indulgent treat.
Cost-effective branded postal boxes
Cake or Death were looking for a cost-effective branded postal box that could deliver a statement for their vegan brownie postal service.
Flexographic printing offered the required cost savings against their original litho laminated boxes, with the design needing to be replicated from the original box.
Cake or Death also needed a fast turnaround, requiring the initial order to be delivered before Father’s Day.
Flexographic printing
This postal box was created as a FEFCO 0427 style die cut box in an E-flute cardboard.
To enhance the quality of the flexographic print, a clay coated paper was printed with two colours and a water based varnish to give a glossy vibrant finish
The inside was printed with one colour on quality white kraft paper to complete the on brand unboxing experience.
The Result: A striking on brand experience
We developed this striking high quality flexographic print packaging. After the initial enquiry, we were able to deliver the order of 2,000 boxes within the customer’s timeframe.
Cake or Death are very happy with the results of this branded postal box that fits perfectly through the letterbox.

How long will my quotation take?
Once we have received the full specification for your corrugated packaging requirements, quotations are typically returned within 2 working days, taking into consideration that we do not work on Fridays.
For more bespoke packaging projects involving custom structural design, specialist print finishes or tooling requirements, additional development time may be required to ensure we provide the most accurate and commercially effective solution.
What is your minimum order quantity?
Minimum order quantities vary depending on the packaging style, board grade, print requirements and manufacturing process involved.
As a general guide, standard production runs are usually 2,000+ boxes.
