Belmont and Norbrook Direct
Norbrook Direct Ltd has been providing IT services to Belmont since July 2005. At that time Belmont asked us to review the existing I.T infrastructure at their site and to draw up a roadmap for future development.
Small and medium sized businesses like Belmont need to access, update, share, and store ever-increasing amounts of information. Belmont were keen to bring their systems up-to-date and make the most of the opportunities available with new technology.
We installed Microsoft’s Small Business Server (SBS) over the summer of 2005. This gives Belmont a site wide security-enhanced small-business network. Every user gets storage, printing, collaboration features, e-mail, Internet connectivity and faxing direct from & to their office desktop and every machine computer terminal factory wide.
The system also supports remote workers, allowing users to work offsite and access their emails and other information anywhere they can get an internet connection.
The system and network has been progressively enhanced since the initial installation. Recent developments have included the delivery of email direct from the server to company mobile phones.
Our remit at Belmont includes maintenance off all the IT infrastructure including the network, servers, PC workstations and laptops, mobile devices as well as advising on the overall company IT policy.
Belmont are unusual in that they are a progressive and very forward looking company generally and in IT terms inparticular. They are always ready to evaluate new technology if they think that it will enhance the delivery of services to their own customers. Norbrook continue to assist them in evaluating and selecting the best of existing and emerging technology.
Working together in true partnership fashion we are really using IT as a positive tool to drive Belmont forward by constantly looking for ways to improve our information/ data flow systems for the benefit of Belmont and its customers and suppliers alike.
