Belmont and Flint Inks

Globally Flint Group is the second largest printing ink and coatings supplier supporting all markets and print applications ranging from Packaging, news inks, wallpaper, envelope, decorative to security inks and coatings. With combined sales of £2.55 Billion employing 8300 staff at 170 sales, service and manufacturing locations on 5 continents.

The relationship with Belmont Packaging commenced several years ago as Akzo Nobel who at that time were invited to assist Belmont in achieving consistent and superior print quality in terms high definition with excellent all over coverage and density, Oh! And they wanted to print it faster!

The route to our joint success was I believe, down to the fact that both companies recognised that the print process is a chain of variables and that only together with Belmont’s other key suppliers such as plates, anilox and substrate etc supported by ongoing on site training and education could the objective be achieved.

Of course the process of improvement never ends and so in the recent past when Belmont chose to tackle the environmental impact of their business we were approached to assist in the recommendation, supply and training of a purpose built effluent water treatment system which has successfully and dramatically reduced the overall impact on the local community.

At Flint Group our philosophy is based on the principal that a quality supplier cannot be limited to solely providing his or her own product or services you must have an integral role within your customers business. And that this can only be successfully achieved when you have a willing partner.
